How Penny became a Reiki Master when she was a puppy is a funny story. As the sun was setting in the backyard, my Reiki Master was about to activate my healing qualities. As I sat in serenity on a chair from the kitchen, Penny launched herself, landed smack-bang on my lap and wouldn't budge. Needless, to say, Penny being a short-legged breed, had never been able to jump up on anyone's lap. She was a front-paws-on-the-knee-with-a-hopeful-look-and-a-whimper-kind-of-dog.

Astonished, my Reiki Master asked her Ascended Masters what to do. Apparently Penny was meant to receive the activations too. A short time later, Penny became Penny Reiki Master.

That night, when my husband arrived home from work, Penny Reiki Master lay on the mat in a serene pose with her front paws crossed.

"What's wrong with her?" he immediately asked. He was used to her doing the front-paws-on-the-knee-excited-to-see-your-home-thing.

I strolled over and picked up Penny Reiki Master, then sat back down. Penny Reiki Master held her front jaws out, still crossed and gave a serene gaze. "Meet Grasshopper. Penny became a Reiki Master today."

My husband shook his head in belief. 

Since that day, her manner has been serene and she lays her front paws on the family, calming and healing all of us.
